The centre of Phuket’s nightlife scene is undoubtedly Soi Bangla. Running perpendicular to the beach in the heart of Patong linking the Beach Road to Rat-U-Thit Road, this street becomes a lively pedestrian zone after dark. On both sides of Bangla are all manner of bars and clubs, with a few shops, hawker stalls and restaurants thrown in. As well as the main strip there are also a number of smaller sois or sidestreets leading off of Bangla. These also contain open air beer bars as well as a few nightclubs and go-go bars. Most bars will stay open to 2am although a few of the discos might stay open until day break.
