Situated just to the north of Bangtao Beach and lying in Sirinart National Marine Park, the idyllic Layan Beach is a small serene corner along the northern coast of Phuket Island. Due to its slightly remote location most visitors to the island do not know this hidden gem. There is not much to do here apart from relax on the beautiful beach fringed with tall casuarinas. The small bay here is very shallow on not great for swimming, but visitors can walk to the small nearby island known as Koh Katha when the tide is out.
