Nakalay Beach
Ref No. 312 | Updated: December 22, 2012
Nakalay is a small beach tucked away inbetween two of Phuket’s most well-known beaches, around 4 km north of Patong and just before Kamala. The beach itself is only around 400 metres long and overlooks Nakaly Bay. Access to the beach is blocked by the Thavorn Beach Village & Spa, so the beach remains quiet throughout the year.
This tranquil beach is a mix of sand and shingle and has a private small, cermet built pier. As the sea is fairly shallow here swimming and snorkeling is possible during high tide and during periods when it is safe to swim. Swimming or snorkeling is not recommended during May to October when the rip currents can be very powerful, even for strong swimmers.
