Layan National Park
Ref No. 217 | Updated: December 27, 2012
Lying just north of Bang Tao Beach within the boundaries of Sirinat Marine National Park, Layan Beach is a small serene corner of Phuket that is still relatively unknown to visitors to the island. Layan forms the southern border of the park with the main National Park office in Nai Yang. Covering a total area of 90 square kilometres, Sirinat Marine National Park is one of the country’s smallest. The geography of the park is extremely diverse, containing white sand beaches, mangrove forests, forest-clad hills and extending 5 kilometres out to sea to encompass many coral reefs.
