Loma Park (Patong)

If you wander along the northern part of Patong Beach you will come across Loma Park, which has a children’s recreation area as well as a small fitness park. The park is also the site for many important events throughout the year such as Phuket Bike Week, the Tsunami Memorial Service and Patong Carnival. At the park are statues of swimming dolphins that give the park its name; ‘pla loma’ is Thai for dolphin. Both locals and tourists alike come here to enjoy the views of Patong Bay while picnicking under the shade of the tall trees. There are plenty of vendors selling food and snacks nearby, including spicy papaya salad and sticky rice.
