Queen Sirikit Park lies just off Dibuk Road in the Old Town quarter of Phuket Town. The park was designed in contemporary style and features a covered car park. The centre piece of the park is an elegant statue of the sea dragon ‘Hai Leng Ong’, which according to local Chinese folklore is the embodiment of Phuket, which is believed to be a dragon emerging from the Andaman Sea. Due to its central location many important festivals are held at Queen Sirikit Park including the Phuket Chinese Festival and the charming Old Town Festival. People tend to visit the park in the late afternoon and early evening when its cooler.
