Sirey Temple

Located close to Koh Sirey School, Wat Koh Sirey or Sirey Temple is situated on Mon Hill of Sirey Island, and enshrsines a 18.5 meter-long Reclining Buddha statue, which in Theravada Buddhism is the Buddha of Tuesday. The long steep stairs to the Buddhist sanctuary is flanked by the 2 green statues of Nagas. As it’s quite a long way uphill, the temple arranges bells along the rest point in order for visitors to ring and take a break when you walk up along the stairs to enjoy with the view of surroundings from the high point and to pay homage to the Reclining Buddha.
