The newest Phuket Bus Terminal 2 is sited in the northern edge of Phuket city centre on Thepkasattri Road. Visitors who came to Phuket by bus before April 2012 may remember only Phuket Bus Terminal 1 near Robinson Department Store on Phang Nga Road. It’s quite good to move the terminal out of the city centre due to the traffic problem, especially in the rush hour. If you reach the station before the departure time, you can catch a motorbike taxi to strolling or killing time at both Super Cheap and Big C superstores which are less than a km away.
Taking a Bus to Phuket
Traveling to Phuket by bus from Bangkok takes about 14 hours. You can catch one from the Southern Bus Terminal (Sai Tai Mai), in Thonburi.... read more
