Phuket International Airport is one of the busiest International Airports in Thailand. It is located in the district of Thalang, on the north west coast. It covers an area of around 95,000 square metres and currently serves about 3 million passengers per year and there are plans to expand and upgrade it. Visitors arriving here can get to their hotel via a public metre taxi, a limousine car, a minibus service or by a limited public bus service. For those wanting to rent a car there are booths within the airport and outlets located opposite the airport. Passengers will have lovely views as they come in to land as this airport is very close to Mai Khao Beach. While waiting for your flight departure, international travelers can look around the duty free shops or sit down and have a cup of coffee or a bite to eat.
