Lie on the south east coast, around a 10-15 minute drive from Phuket City, the Rassada Pier is the port where you can take a ferry or speed boat to many islets such as Phi Phi Island, Ao Nang, Koh Yao Island and Koh Lanta. For some of these islands you will have ot change boats at Phi Phi Island. Ferries and speed boats normally operate between 08.30 hours to 16.30 hours. The 2 hour ferry trip to Phi Phi is enjoyable as tourists will pass scenic Phange Nga Bay during their journey. The last ferry to Phi Phi Island leaves Rassada Pier at around 14. 30 hours. So if your flight arrives too late to catch the last ferry you can spend the night in Phuket City. Journey time from the airport to the pier is around 60 minutes via taxi. The pier, has a small passenger terminal and booking and information points that distribute relevant information and also tickets. There is also a parking lot for those arriving by there own form of transport.
