Rang Hill Viewpoint
Ref No. 117 | Updated: December 27, 2012
Rang Hill, or ‘Khao Rang’ in Thai, is located on the western edge of Phuket. At the top is a small exercise park surrounded by shady trees. You can also find a bronze statue of Phraya Ratsada Korsimbi Na Ranong, a former governor of Phuket who helped develop the tin mining and rubber industries during the early 20th century. From here you can get an excellent view over the town towards the southeast, with Chalong Bay and a few islands in the distance. There are a handful of restaurants on Rang Hill each offering stunning views, which are ideal for a romantic dinner.
