The Phuket Philatelic Museum is a point of interest in Phuket Town worth a look if you are in the area. It is located on Montri Road, and is right beside the main post office. This charming Sino-Portuguese building was built in the early 1930’s as a post and telegraph office. Inside there is a selection of old telephones, post office weighing scales and a stamp section where old stamps are on display. There are also old stamps for sale which might appeal to stamp collectors. The museum is open Monday-Friday from 08.30 am until 04.30 pm, and on Saturday from 9.00 till 12.00 pm. Entrance is free.
