Review of Baan Natacha Beachfront Guesthouse
Convenient location on the end of Kamala Beach, can walk from bars, shopping and ATM etc..Basic room but clean and comfy. Good breakfast at next restaurant. At night, had fun pool competition in the bar.
Review of Lanta Summer House
Recommend this place. Good location on Klong Dao Beach, easy reach of the bustling Saladan area by tuk-tuk (50 baht/person). We were satisfied our room, clean with daily housekeeping. Swimming pool was nice. If you have big family, adjoining bungalows are good.
Review of Green Mango Restaurant, Bar & Guesthouse
has diferent room types at different prices so has accommodation for all budgets. The Swedish owner was happy to show us the different rooms. We went for a superior room which was a little bigger than a std room and had a balcony which we could sit out on, but don’t expect much of a view! but not complaining allowing for the low room rate. Rooms are upstairs and they have a good Thai resturant and small bar on the ground floor, most dishes where around the 100 baht mark, so an affordable place to eat. Not noisy at night, yet Bangla Rd we walked to in 15 minutes.
Review of Phuket Backpacker
We booked a 4 bed dorm at this hostel for 2 nights. Great location during Vegetarian Festival, opposite Kajorn Rangsan Temple, just stone’s throw away from Pud Jor Shrine and surrounded with a wide selections of local vegetarian food outlets. Tidy and comfy bed but the room too small. “Good for backpackers”
From simple to upscale Phuket guesthouses and bungalows are a popular accommodation choice for visitors staying for a week to a year.
Rates vary depending on location and amenities offered. Depending on your length of stay the rates can be negotiable and no rental contracts are necessary.
Many restaurants have opted to expand into the guesthouse business and the rooms are usually located above the restaurant or bar.
Most guesthouses and bungalows in Phuket are located on the western side of the island though a few can be found on the eastern shores.
Consider transportation when choosing a place. Is it convenient to the areas you will be frequenting? Is breakfast included in the rates?
Costs will vary during the year with the least expensive during the “green season” or rainy season to higher rates from November through January.
