From simple to upscale Phuket guesthouses and bungalows are a popular accommodation choice for visitors staying for a week to a year.
Rates vary depending on location and amenities offered. Depending on your length of stay the rates can be negotiable and no rental contracts are necessary.
Many restaurants have opted to expand into the guesthouse business and the rooms are usually located above the restaurant or bar.
Most guesthouses and bungalows in Phuket are located on the western side of the island though a few can be found on the eastern shores.
Consider transportation when choosing a place. Is it convenient to the areas you will be frequenting? Is breakfast included in the rates?
Costs will vary during the year with the least expensive during the “green season” or rainy season to higher rates from November through January.
