Review of Ao Chalong Animal Hospital
My 6 year old cat had pain to pee and it cried all night. We felt pity for him very much and decided to bring him to the nearest vet hospital. We came to this hospital as it is just 5 minutes away from our house. Doc said our cat had an ureteric stone and so he had to do a penetration into urethra. I agreed to it but got shocked when I saw the bill…3000 B! Well, several weeks later my cat got the same symptom but we decided to go to Phuket Town where we pay only a few hundreds baht for each similar process. Moreover, doc said he needed an operation. Now he is healed by vet hospital in Phuket town. Not sure about service of this hospital in Chalong.
Review of Smile Pet & Grooming @Big C
This shop helps me save a lot of time when I want some food for my cats. Big C parking area is a very good idea and of course great location. I bought food and snacks for my cats there after my shopping time at big c. Their cat snacks like Ciao and Gim cat were very good, my cats fell in love with it. Price here is not crazy and owner is friendly.
Review of Chao Fah Andaman Pet Hospital Phuket
This was my first time here, taking my fat cat to have his parasitic vaccine. All of them, vets and staff all look professional and friendly. I think this pet hospital could be the high end one in Chalong. Very clean, high quality service and definitely higher price. Anyway, I believe I got what I paid indeed.
My 2 cats got a serious itch, they keep scratching all day. I brought them to a vet clinic in Phuket Town once (not wish to mention the name of the clinic), there doc said our cats have only normal itch… really? I’m not convinced so I decided to go to the RTB which I know it would come with a higher expense. My first impression was this hospital is absolutely clean and no smell, yet they have many greeting staff at the reception. Very warm welcome, everyone is very friendly and smiley. They have 2 or 3 check up units with a doctor in each and this helps checking be done a lot more faster. Well about itch of my cat, yes they need a cure (different result from previous clinic) and we got a spray, antibac pills and liniment. Both look like getting better now. Expensive but efficient this hospital.
In Phuket animals and pets play an important part in many people’s lives and looking after them can be both important and costly if not carried out regularly.
Phuket offers a wide variety of services that cater to the pet owner including a number of very good quality veterinary clinics, grooming centers and kennels / catteries for those ex-pats who have to travel abroad but are unable to take their pet with them.
There are a number of shops that cater for pet needs including specialist foods and accessories.
Being a tropical island Phuket also offers the opportunity to own more exotic pets than may be found in other countries including snakes. Some animals offered as pets may not be suitable when larger or require a lot of attention so be sure to find out all you can about the species before buying one.
