In Phuket animals and pets play an important part in many people’s lives and looking after them can be both important and costly if not carried out regularly.
Phuket offers a wide variety of services that cater to the pet owner including a number of very good quality veterinary clinics, grooming centers and kennels / catteries for those ex-pats who have to travel abroad but are unable to take their pet with them.
There are a number of shops that cater for pet needs including specialist foods and accessories.
Being a tropical island Phuket also offers the opportunity to own more exotic pets than may be found in other countries including snakes. Some animals offered as pets may not be suitable when larger or require a lot of attention so be sure to find out all you can about the species before buying one.
