Natai : Vets
Choosing the right veterinarian for one’s pet or animal can be a challenge. Fortunately Phuket has a number of animal clinics, pet hospitals and veterinarians that are well known and respected.
Most clinics provide vaccinations, check-ups, medical procedures, specialized foods, grooming, travel cages, and boarding services. Some even offer complimentary pick-up and delivery.
Travelling to Thailand with a pet involves plenty of paperwork. The Thai government requires all pets be micro-chipped and forms from the Department of Livestock must be completed prior to arrival. All vaccinations must be up to date and a quarantine may be required. The Thai customs officials also impose a value tax on worth of each pet. Airlines also request a list of requirements that must be met prior to travel.
