Andaman Marine Consultants is the working base of managing director Andy Dowden and is a registered as a limited company in Phuket, Thailand.

 Events

The company was a consultant and effectively organiser of the Phuket International Boat Show (PIMEX) from its inception with Image Asia Events from 2003 to 2006. In January 2007 Andaman Marine Consultants took over ownership of the show and relocated it for the 2007event to the five-star Royal Phuket Marina.

Now in its 10th year the show continues to grow as South East Asia’s premier marine showcase.

AMC continues to act in a consulting capacity on Phuket Race Week and The Bay Regatta.

AMC carries out marine surveys for prospective purchasers, safety inspections for insurance purposes and damage claim assessments.

Working with several insurance companies in South East Asia as well as Pantaenius and Marine Claims Service GmbH in Europe.

AMC carries out project management on refits and new builds in Thailand.

The company offers consulting services on marine infrastructure and marina projects.

Andy Dowden is an English marine and civil engineer and has lived in Thailand since 1984. He has been involved in most aspects of the marine industry since its small beginnings in the mid 80s. He was active in the development of the Phuket King’s Cup Regatta for many years and was President in 2002.
