Nai Thon : Hospitals
There are two internationally respected private hospitals in Phuket that provide full medical services and treatment.
If possible it is recommended to review the total costs involved prior to treatment or surgery and usually insurance refunds are the responsibility of the patient and not the hospital that will require full payment.
Emergency medical care is available and many who have needed treatment are impressed with the level of skill and professionalism available.
There are several public hospitals that mostly treat local residents but at a fraction of the cost of private institutions. Public hospitals are often preferred by expats in Phuket because of the cost factor involved.
