Promote Member Network and Raise Funds for Children in Phuket
Welcome
The Phuket International Women’s Club (PIWC) is a club formed by women and for women living in Phuket, Thailand. While we meet to form new friendships and enjoy fun social activities, we proudly raise money for our scholarship program.
- Make New Friends & Make a Difference -
PIWC is a not-for-profit organization with members representing 23 countries from around the world. Our monthly activities include, but are not limited to the following:
A ‘meet-and-greet’ coffee for newcomers
A fund-raising lunch at a different Phuket restaurant venue each month
A fund-raising coffee morning hosted by a member, in her home
Activities also include Mahjong, Bridge, Tennis, Golf, Cooking, and Gardening
An annual fund-raising event
Our fund-raising activities are used to sponsor local student education. Education scholarships are given to deserving bright students. Many are children who might otherwise be forced to discontinue schooling and face the danger of poorly paid employment.
Founded in 1989, more than 700 students have received financial assistance from PIWC, thus helping many fulfill their dreams to become doctors, nurses, accountants, teachers, secretaries, engineers, veterinarians, personal assistants, translators, tour guides, and more. Presently, our club supports 202 students with scholarships for primary schooling through university.
Once a scholarship has been awarded, funds are set aside to cover the entire duration of each student’s course of study. Several of our students have been the first family member to receive a high school diploma. Needless to say, it makes our efforts very rewarding, as we help build the future generations of our beloved Thai friends.
Our newly elected club president is Carole Dux, an Australian who has lived abroad for 27 years. She and her husband retired to Phuket six and a half years ago from England and she has been actively involved with PIWC for the past six years. She follows Khun Wipa Tanmanatragul who has held the club president position for the past two years.
- Extend Our Member Network and Raise Funds for Children -
Ladies are encouraged to become members of Phuket International Women’s Club, whether you reside in Phuket fulltime or only a portion of the year; request membership information today.
As a non-profit organization, we welcome donations and bequests. Our accounts are audited annually and 100% of all donations go to the charity fund and all work is done by volunteers.
If you would like to join our club, sponsor a student, make a donation, or ask a question, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Is this your business?

PIWC is more than a charity, it is a meeting place for ladies of all nationalities and a good way for new comers to the island to make friends and discover the ins and outs of island life and local culture.
