Koh Jum : Government Offices
A number of foreign governments have consular representation in Phuket. It is recommended to visit their web sites listed below for detailed information regarding services, working hours and costs. Many require appointments and these can also be made through their web sites.
If business takes you to a Thai local, state or national government office is it best to be accompanied by someone who speaks Thai as English may not be spoken or understood. Phoning ahead to inquire about documents, signatures or other paperwork you made need is a good idea and will prevent you from making repeat visits. Hours and days of operation vary widely at government offices.
