Germany: Honorary Consulate

The office of the German Honorary Consul for Southern Thailand is situated on the “Bypass” in Phuket; officially the road is called: Chalermprakiat R. 9 Road.

When you travel from the Tesco Lotus Supermarket in Phuket in the direction of the Airport, you will find a UTurn after about 1.100 meters. The office of the German Hon. Consul is opposite this U-Turn right next to a 7Eleven Shop in a row of shop-houses. In this row of shop-houses you will also find the Phuket Tourist Association and the Bank of Ayudhaya. Our house-number is 100/425. We open Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and our office is closed on Thai and German holidays.

If you need a new German passport or a Schengen (Tourist) Visa or a visa for living in Germany or are in urgent need of a money remittance from Germany we are here to serve you. In case you wish to marry a Thai or your Thai friends wish to learn the German language, just come to see us without appointment. In case you seek some advice or the signature of the Hon. Consul, it is advisable you phone first our office (076 610 407) during office hours to make sure the Consul is in.

Be careful when buying land or a house! Should you require an independent third party to scrutinize your impending land, house and/or apartment purchase in Southern Thailand, you may want to engage your Hon. Consul check the title deed and your contracts, to assure that the land you buy belongs to the person offering it to you and looks after your interests so as to avoid that you are cheated by persuasive fraudsters.
