  1. Widely regarded as one of the premier restaurants on the island, Baan Rim Pa has been delighting diners with its authentic Royal Thai Cuisine for many years. To ensure that the recipes were genuinely the same as those used to prepare dishes in the royal palace, founder Tom McNamara tracked down the descendants of former chefs who worked in the Grand Palace. The restaurant is housed in a beautiful two-storey teak house perched on a cliff at the northern end of Patong as you cross over into Kalim. With the sound of the waves crashing into the rocks below mixed with the sounds of jazz, blues and Broadway from the piano bar, Baan Rim Pa occupies a simply stunning oceanfront location with gorgeous sea views and romantic sunsets across Patong Bay.

  2. Fantastic view with great atmosphere we were there last holiday, we had wonderful romantic diner with good taste of Thai food, we can say ” WE LOVE THAI FOOD” and my husband try to cook Thai food for me here in UK very surprises, my husband told me that the staff there told him how to cook Tom Yam Kung I love it, Staff there were helpful and very friendly, Love to go back as very already planing for our next vacation in Phuket and Yes, off course we will be back to Baan Rim Pa again.

  3. Just got back from Phuket and our meal here was one of the highlights of the trip. The setting was super romantic and the view at sunset was absolutely amazing. We took a ton of photos. Food was amazing. The prawns and crabs were so fresh and well cooked. Coctails also seriously good. I would say you have to go there at least once during your time in Phuket.

  4. This restaurant is on a stunning oceanfront location with wonderful sea views and romantic sunsets across Patong Bay. Me and my friends went there last week and we booked a balcony sea view table we love atmosphere and food was excellent but no doubt pricey. One of the most famous food is Hor-Mok-Talay and deep fried fish with soy sauce. Service were outstanding.

  5. Wonderful restaurant and such a nice food and service is outstanding . Personally we love the Thai food and we falling in love with fantastic view, Our dish was well served and presented we had a special time there. Love to go back.

  6. I was invited for dinner here. I was just a little bit excited as Baan Rim pa is very famous and I never been here before. Great restaurant and such a nice food and service. Staff is polite and ready to serve you with a smile. Price is very expensive for Thai people like me so very worth experience.

  7. Heard about this restaurant from our friends for a while. We went to Phuket last week and got chance to try it. Not disappointed really, especially my wife, she was very happy with the food and yes the superb views. We had a memorable and romantic 10 year anniversary of our marriage there.

  8. The setting cannot be faulted, although the setting has the disadvantage that it is difficult to park, but no problem if you come by tuk tuk or taxi. Personally we like the Thai food, it is toned slightly for our Western tastes, but that is the way we like it and the food is so well presented with flower petals and small veg carvings. It is a joy to come here, but the wine is expensive even allowing for the high Thailand taxes on wine.

  9. Baan Rim Pa certainly has one of the best views in Phuket. We liked the decor and style, classic, traditional. We book a balcony table in advance, it was lovely to see and hear the sea hitting the rocks below. Our starters prawns wrapped in noodles were fun to eat, loved dipping them into the sauce. Our main course beef massaman was tender, it melted in our mouth’s and was not too spicy, which is the way we like it, we had with steamed rice and fried veg. For dessert we had homemade ice cream. Every dish was well served and presented. Had a special night and time here.

  10. We loved their amazing location on a rocky outcrop overlooking the ocean. Various dishes we ordered like seafood, beef, chicken, rice and noodles were not disappointing. Eating while taking cool sea breeze and listening to waves that continuously crash the rocks below is marvellous! Thai food lovers like us will fall in love with this place I think.

  11. I heard about this restaurant for a while but I just came to try it last few months. The food there is exactly the best as the hearsay. More than the taste of food is scenery and the location of the restaurant so that made me and my family got both the deliciousness of Thai food and the eye food. Love it !!!

  12. Had a super evening dinner with my wife here. There is no doubt the ambiance and views are wonderful, sitting at a crisp white table cloth covered table, over looking the sea and hearing the sound of of the waves hitting the rocks. The Thai food we had, Tom Yaan Goong, fried pork and a yellow curry, mixed veg was a little toned down, and not too spicy, which suited us. Menu prices are on the high end but overall worth it as we had a most enjoyable holiday dinning experience.

  13. Had a most lovely enjoyable evening, was lucky we had a fantastic view form our table

  14. If you haven’t heard of this place by now youre probably dead. Perhaps the most heavily advertised restaurant in Phuket – so we had to try it at least once.
Right away you notice it is professionally managed and the staff is well trained. The setting is a beauty – right on the water’s edge.
An extensive menu and well…. it ain’t cheap! The food (mostly Thai) was very good.
    Will we be back… yes.

  15. I often come here for special occasions or a treat. I aways have a lovely relaxing, enjoyable time.

  16. One of the most famous restaurants in Phuket and consistently great food and service year after year when we make our journey to the island.
We really enjoy our visits here and eating here is one of our highlights.

  17. A fantastic restaurant with great location, exceptional food, and truly outstanding service. Simply must be experienced while on holiday on Phuket.

  18. My best friend booked a balcony sea view table for my birthday as a surprise… wow what a treat

  19. Great location and ambience. One of my favourite restaurants on the island. I bring all my guests here if they have never been to Phuket before. Food is excellent although definitely not cheap.

  20. Without a doubt one of the best restaurants on Phuket with superb food and simply amazing views.

This is one of the places to come to for the sunsets and great dining at the same time

The atmosphere is second to none and I love the gentle live piano music in the background
