Salvatore’s Restaurant

Are you considering having lunch or dinner in Phuket?
What are you looking for?

A typical Italian “trattoria” with bright colors, serene environment, soft music, rich and traditional flavors, a cuisine based on fresh and genuine ingredients?

You can find everything in our restaurant: Salvatore’s Restaurant.

At Salvatore’s you have a great choice among all the exclusive suggestions of first and second courses. For instance, in our Salvatore’s Restaurant, you may taste the palatable spaghetti with the original bottarga (Sardinian mullet’s caviar); then you may have a choice between classical chowder, a bass in salt crust or a dentex oven with potatoes and white wine. Without taking into consideration a rich salad, chosen among the many salads listed into the menu, which may be a valid option to those courses.
The bread? We produce it at home every day!

To end with flourish, one of our spoon-desserts …

Salvatore Cossu arranges everything: chef, owner and 100% Sardinian.
The wine list, finally, is nearly a little encyclopedia: it includes some 60 different labels among the most famous Italian winery.

How may we close?

With a classic Italian espresso: Illy, of course!

We are sited located in a 2 storey, Sino-Portuguese building on Rassada Road in central Phuket Town, sited between the Suriyadet Traffic Circle, also known as the Fountain Traffic Circle and a large Krung Thai Bank.

  1. Salvatore's is a popular Italian restaurant with an intimate setting located along Rassada Road in the centre of Phuket Town, near the water fountain roundabout. The restaurant is run by Salvatore, a native of Sardinia and long-term Phuket resident, who takes pride in serving authentic Italian cuisine coupled with delightful Italian wines. A real taste of Italy in Phuket.

  2. This restaurant is one of the best choice if you feel you want to eat Italian food in Phuket Town. Homemade pasta included old style Lasagne is very good. I’ve never had a bad experience here. Owners are friendly. Price is not cheap but worth visit.

  3. I’ve eaten here many times, most recently a couple of weeks ago. Its a nice setting an food is still top notch. If you like home cooked Italian food then you can’t go wrong here. Still the best Italian in town by a long way!

  4. The pizzas are wow. Thin base and a good test of a good pizza is that here the pizzas are not wet or soggy in the middle. The staff were happy to change and add different items we wanted on out pizzas. Had comfort seating and good service.

  5. Ordered the cheese and tomato sauce baked egg plant as something different as a starter, it was really nice and made a nice change from brushette which we normally order. For mains we had pork fillet and an Australian steak. Both dishes were tender and nicely presented, and we really enjoyed them. Service was good, but a bit too keen, felt like being watched sometimes, staff took plates away as soon as we put down our knifes and forks, but better that, than the opposite where staff do not care. Cool air con, nice decor and large soft chairs with arms to seat on, a good night out.

  6. Used to eat here a couple of times a month when I lived near town but since the road works I have been avoiding town as much as possible. However, when a visting relative told me they were craving authentic Italian there was only one place on my mind. The food was excellent and Salvtore came round himself to check if everything was okay. Yes, its not cheap but the food is well worth it.

  7. Well if you looking for location, service and variety of food. This might be the one you looking for. Just located in the heart of Phuket Town. I can’t remember the menu, but it is very rich cream with meat crab. It was really nice if you have them together with wine.

  8. One our trips into Phuket Town we make it a point to have dinner here. Very consistent and professional staff. We have noticed prices keep crawling up. Ugh. Please Salvatore… keep it affordable.

  9. The pizzas are good and fresh with a thin base, cost around 390 baht. They are about the same price and taste much better than the chain Pizza Company ones. I was looking at having a meat dish but the dishes exclude vegs which pushes up the price and I think they should include in the total price. But it is a nice well place to eat at.

  10. One of the few good places to dine in Phuket Town. Established, no nonsense, good food.

  11. Enjoyed my tomato and garlic bruschette, which I am always a sucker for. My main course creamy crab pasta, had loads of crab meat. Not sure about the music it was some sort of live Italian recorded music. The songs sounded old and dated and there was clapping between songs… most strange.

  12. A little piece of Italy in Phuket. Great small restaurant with many years of presence…ask Salvatore, the owner/chef for recommendation of the day.

  13. The menu is a a little limited, but adequate for a veggie. For a starter I had a delicious cheese and tomato baked egg plant, followed by homemade ravioli that was stuffed with cheese and spinach. The wine list was extensive but not cheap, I was happy with a glass of house red which was 160 baht.

  14. I really liked the pizza here. Great atmosphere and nice attentive staff.

  15. Always consistently good food and and extremely comfortable and spacious. Service is attentive and staff speak good English. One of my favorites!
