  1. With its elegant all-white interior and fabulous sea views across Kalim Bay, Joe's Downstairs enjoys a reputation as one of the best places for casual drinks and dining in Phuket. As well as an award-winning wine-list and delicious cocktails, Joe's relatively small menu includes mouthwatering tapas, fresh seafood and a fantastic burger. To get there head north along Patong's beach road until you cross over the small hill into Kalim. Joe's is right beside Baan Rim Pa on the beach side of the road.

  3. It’s a perfect choice for a special occasion dinner. Amazing views!! Great location and atmosphere in this tucked away restaurant. Food was great . The service was stifling for us . We had different wait staff coming up to us checking on us asking for drink orders. We didn’t feel relaxed at all which was a great shame.

  6. Had a ball of a time with friends here. Lovely views and staff were attentive and friendly. Liked the casual atmosphere, it was fun to share food, the Chicken Caesar Salad and giant crab cake we all liked. It was meant to be a quick meet up but we ended up staying nearly 3 hours!

  7. Had a good time here with the taste of food, the white themed decoration and the fantastic location. I really love grilled dish with wine. Their staff are also nice and helpful to advise us about the popular menu and good wine. The most impressive thing is that we were drinking a fine wine during sunset. The sunset light reflects making a more romantic atmosphere in the restaurant. So fantastic.

  8. Joe’s Downstairs is located just out of Patong beach and all that hazzle. It is My favourite restaurant in Patong! Yes, a bit overpriced – but the experience, the location can never be forgotten.

  9. Had a fun, good if not pricey, but worth the money time with friends drinking and eating tapas on the excellent sea outlook terrace. I cannot remember all the tapas we had but crispy duck rolls stick in my mind as a highlight. This calm oasis is such a lovely contrast to the noise and hassle of Patong.

  10. Elegant but casual and views to die for. Prices a bit on the high side but worth the great service and quality of the meals.

  11. Had a nice evening here with a few friends has white colour contempory decor and a casual atmosphere. The staff were helpful in advising on the different tapas, we ordered a few to eat between us, the Mexican Pork and the Tandoori Chicken which were on skewers. For main I ordered the Australian Burger which was really thick and filling, almost the same size as a Hard Rock burger.

  14. Went to see the rocky beach sunset around 5.45 pm with some friends. We enjoyed sharing various tapas, like the prawn waltons, crispy duck rolls and the Mexican Chicken served with tortilla, washed down with a bottle of Aussie Sauvignon Blanc. The bill was at the high end but ok considering the view and that some of the food must be imported
