4.0 out of 5 based on 2 reviews.
Cape Panwa, South Phuket

A cosy, Thai rustic style building decorated with hardwood high ceiling, walls and a thatched roof. The Sawasdee Restaurant is located in Cape Panwa, opposite the sea promenade, and it is a few minutes walk from Phuket Aquarium. The most popular dishes are Pad Khee Mao Noodle, Pad Prik Gaeng Gung, Deep Fried Battered Prawn, Spring Rolls, Tom Yum Soup and other kind of delicious Thai specialties. Some Western dishes and beverages including beers, cocktails, and mixed fruit shakes are served here by the friendly staff.

  1. Liked the food and service. Not that big, but we liked the cosy feel, Think it is family run, as staff were friendly and helped us select items from the menu and made sure our green curry was not too spicy, I think they put extra coconut milk in it to make it less spicy. Over looks the sea but if you are sitting deep inside you will not get much of a view, better to sit closer to the outside road. At night there is a small market along the bay which was not too exciting but helped us walk off our meal. Preferred eating at Sawasdee than at our hotel.

  2. Stayed at the Kantary Bay Hotel Phuket, only a few restaurants around here. Found this small and cosy restaurant at the entrance of the hotel (it look like Thai style sala) Good location, opposite Cape Panwa sea promenade and just steps to Phuket Aquarium. Tried Pad Khee Mao Seafood Noodle, although a bit spicy but tasty. Cheap beer, a small bottle Chang beer 50 bht, and 95 bht for a large bottle. Good meeting point with friends after sun set.
