This romantic atmosphere restaurant serves both Thai and Western food which are accompanied by cool beer , smoothie and quality wine. Candlelit dinner at outdoor terrace is something recommended especially for couples or those coming with special friends. Some of the highlighted menus include special Why@Wine salad , Baked chicken breast with tomato and cheese and salmon steak with curry sauce. Getting to this restaurant is easy , it is just opposite the bustling and well known for locals , Chaofa Variety Market or known as Weekend Market. It is about 10 minutes car ride from Central Festival Phuket when heading to Chalong , turn left at the 2nd traffic light for Wirat Hong Yok Road , then take the 2nd U turn and turn left at the Super Cheap Mart for Wirat Hong Yok Road 3 Road. The restaurant can be found on the left hand side , around 200 metres away from the mart. The road to the restaurant will be busier during weekend because of the weekend market but there will be a private car park of the restaurant.

  1. Why at Wine is conveniently located close to the lively Phuket Weekend Market, a busy gathering place for locals and tourists on Saturdays and Sunday evenings. Here you can relax and chill out with some great wines, smoothies or beers in a relaxing atmosphere. They also serve a wide choice of delicious food. Recommended dishes include roast duck in red curry, spaghetti with seafood, and salmon steak in white wine sauce. With friendly attentive service, Why at Wine is a welcome addition to Phuket Town’s growing restaurant scene.

  2. I found this place while looking for somewhere to relax while my friends were still wandering around the market. We ended having dinner here and all very happy with our food. The menu has a good selection of both Thai and western dishes and we ordered a little of both. Everything was delicious and well presented. Service also warm and efficient. I won’t hesitate to go back next time I visit Phuket Town.

  3. Friendly and welcoming had the salmon steak with a curry sauce, it was good as the curry sauce did not overpower the salmon. Staff were helpful but English was limited but not a problem. Our fruit smoothies had taste and went down a treat. Has a car park which is a real bonus as it is often difficult to find a parking space in Phuket Town.

  4. A group of us had a very nice dinner here last night. Food was excellent. I was really surprised at the prices which were very reasonable. I am not a wine expert but the wine we were recommended was lovely and again very reasonably priced. I will be back here for sure.

  5. We visited this place with family for dinner in Phuket town, we love this restaurant, food are wonderful they has a variety of foods and beverage, we are enjoyed our mango smoothie and their staff was friendly and good service, we will go back again.

  6. Easy to park. We sat outdoors as they had a live music event. Food and drink was cheap, especially compared to prices in Patong. Enjoyed our strawberry smoothie that was so well presented it looked like a cocktail with stirrers and umbrellas poking out of the top of it. More of a local than tourist place, but we enjoyed our time here.

  7. I stop here for lunch after taking my mom to the market in Phuket Town. I like the decoration and atmosphere, not too busy when we were there. They have Thai & European food which start from 69 baht only..great! I tried spaghetti tomato sauce, my mom tried fried rice and fried vegetable…it’s good and very quick service. Oh, you should try “FROOT LOOP MILK SHAKE” it is a milk shake, but they put cereal..strange but nice, I love it.

  8. Unpretentious, casual Thai wine bar with full menu. Not a huge selection of wines but decently priced and drinkable. We tried the banana spring rolls and lets just say they were unique. Outdoor seating is nice but a bit noisy. Doesn’t open til 5pm.

  9. A good choice of restaurant in Phuket town. Has a variety of foods both Thai and international foods. I like their appetizer menu, spring roll with banana. Prices are reasonable and relaxed atmosphere.

  10. Great place to meet up for a couple of drinks. The band was pretty good, not too loud. Next time we will stay for dinner.

  11. We visited Why @ Why on a Saturday night and found the food and service very good. This is our second visit to the restaurant and could not fault it.The resident band also adds to the atmosphere.Would not hesitate to return again.

  12. I noticed this restaurant while waiting for my Thai girl friend shop at the weekend market. I like Seafood Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce and Pasion Fruit Smoothie, good to try. I will go there again. I like its name…

  13. Excellent food, attentive staff and a friendly atmosphere! What more can you ask for? If you are looking for something special, I would recommend stopping here for dinner.

  14. Very good place to have dinner, Beautiful restaurant nice staff and big car park :).
