Supermarket chains are now stocked with hundreds of imported food items familiar to foreigners living and visiting Phuket.
Specialty shops selling imported wines, cheeses, meats and other hard to find items can also be found in Phuket.
Shopping malls are filled with high-end brand name stores and small shops are a fun way of discovering a bargain.
Clothing and shoe purchases for foreigners may be challenging due to the limited sizes available but flip-flops and t-shirts can be found in larger sizes.
Most shops accept credit cards while some impose a 3-5% surcharge if not using cash.
