Review of Jungceylon
Went here as it was raining. Thought this mall was strange and poorly designed as it consists of a number for buildings, that we could not get too unless we went outside and got wet! The drains could not cope and staff had to use large wipe blade like brooms to clear some of the walkways that became flooded. Difficult to know what was in each building. Mainly brand big name shops, nothing really different Postives, easy to park, had a big c supermarket and there were massage shops in the basement which were not expensive but not that quiet, many Chinese having foot massages. Had a good selection of restaurants and eating options.
Review of Tesco Lotus Supercenter (By-pass Road)
The Tesco Lotus Supercenter is set in a big complex along with banks, eateries (including MK) and HomePro. Within Tesco there are electronics and toy departments, but most of the store is a large Western-style supermarket selling a large variety of groceries. The location is convenient on Phuket’s Bypass Road and the car park is very large. Even so, it can take a while to find a space on Saturday morning or afternoon.
Review of Makro Phuket
Makro is a great place to stock up on bulk items such as soft drinks, long-life foods, cleaning and hygiene products. The electronics selection is also good. Makro has a wide selection of Western foods including European meats and cheeses at reasonable prices. The vegetables are in good condition. You can get a day pass for free.
Review of Robinsons Department Store Phuket
Everything in this store just the same as what I saw many years ago. I came back to Phuket Town as I enjoyed night street food nearby. This shopping centre still looked busy for locals maybe it is the only one in town. Nothing interesting for us except Top supermarket downstairs.
Malls and department stores are a convenient one stop place to shop. The larger malls in Phuket include cinemas, supermarkets, restaurants and retail shops. Visiting the malls on the weekend is a favorite pastime in Phuket.
Other department stores such as Index Furniture and Makro are located near the malls.
