Review of Samero’s IceCream Paradise
The ice cream here is excellent and well less than half the price of Haagen Dazs. Staff 100-are dressed in traditional maids outfits. They were friendly, they let us try about 2 or 3 different ice creams. Had 2 scopes in a cup, could have had a cone but messy. I went for the pistachio and black cherry, my girl went for the coconut and chocolate. Heaven
Review of Kornthong
I dropped here before leaving Phuket to buy Dip with Dried Shrimp Phuket Style, it’s quite very good and very cheap. Their staffs very helpful and good services.
Review of Food Haven @Jungceylon
Has various small station selling Indian, Italian, Chinese, European but manly Thai meals and snacks. Some are buffet style where you can select items, the only issues was some of our buffet items were not that hot, and quick food stations where food is cooked while we waited, the pad thai was good. The stations do not accept money we had to purchase a card which was loaded our money and we paid by handing over the card to the station owners. At the end we returned the card and got a cash refund on the balance. It is located in the basement and we found it good value as we have 2 young kids that are not old enough to really eat at restaurants, plus much cheaper. Tip the basement has loads of inexpensive massage places, the only issues is noise sometimes.
Review of Swensen’s Ice-Cream @Tesco Lotus Phuket
It was a busy day last weekend but they still did good. There was no seat when I arrived, need to wait about 15 mins but that is ok. Many choice of flavors and toppings. Surprise that they have brownie and float ice cream. Love their chocolate dipping. Everything is good but too narrow. Especially on Vday 😉
Always a lively topic that comes up with most residents living in Phuket. Not long ago there were only a few shops that catered to foreign food tastes. Today business is thriving and shoppers can find Australian and Japanese beef, Swiss cheese, Maine lobster or any other item one may crave.
Most large supermarket chains have dedicated aisles of imported goods.
Bakeries and pastry shops have popped up all over Phuket and sell high quality goods found in the shops in Europe.
Another source to find foreign items is through food wholesalers that sell their goods to the public.
