Phuket Fishing Park

Koh Kaew, East Phuket

Phuket Fishing Park is Phuket’s best and only freshwater Monster Fishing Lake!

With over 12 different species from Thailand, America and other parts of the world it’s definitely Thailand’s most variety freshwater fishing park.

  1. AC's Phuket Fishing Park is the only freshwater Monster Fishing lake on the island, offering endless fun for those who love freshwater fishing. Aligator Gar, Amazon Redtail Catfish, Giant Siamese Carp and Indian Carp Rohu are among the 12 species from Thailand and other parts of the world. Along the banks of the lake is a restaurant serving Western and Thai cuisine that can be prepared to special requirements. Fishing equipment such as test curve rods, heavy setups, line and braid are available for rent. AC's is located in a small alley off Thepkasatri Road, opposite the Isuzu showroom in Koh Kaew.

  2. I normally enjoy saltwater fishing when I come to Phuket. But this time my friend recommended me to try freshwater fishing at this fishing park. I was hesitating but finally decided to try it. I phoned them for more info and booking, especially for the direction cos it is not on the western coast which I get used to. They offerred free transfer, but I preferred self driving. Not too difficult to find this place! It is set half way between Phuket Boat Lagoon and the Heroines Monument, a small gravel street right opposite large Isuzu showroomm led me to this fishing lake. I found fishing program here is quite fun. Apart from their well trained and helpful staff, I like Thai curry at their restaurant very much. Good to try…..
Don’t go there on Monday as they are closed on that day.

  4. They picked us up from our hotel in Patong in the morning and it took about 40 minutes to reach the lake. They gave the kids some fishing lessons when we arrived and there was a helper to bait and de hook any fish my another wife caught. Equipment provided reels and rods were ok for us amateurs. Here was a small basic restaurant onsite that served Thai food and cold beers. The toilets were ok but could be improved upon. Everyone caught loads of fish which we put back in the lake. A good day out and made a change from sitting on the beach or shopping. Cost was around 2,100 baht per person, which we thought was good for a whole day out. .
