Baan Teelanka – The Upside Down House & A-Maze-in-Phuket

Phuket Town, Phuket Town & Central

Baan Teelanka ( The Upside Down House) & Maze Phuket, is a quirky, fun, good for photos attraction. It consists of an Upside House and a maze. The upside down house stands 13 metres high, and has 3 furnished floors that contain an attic, 3 different style bedrooms, staircases, a lounge, kitchen and a bathroom.

Here the furniture hangs from the floor and you can dance on the ceiling! It has been so well created that that it gives a disorientating, yet funny, enjoyable feeling. Don’t forget your camera as there are many photo opportunities, the staff will be more team happy to take photos if you wish. The 1,000 sqm garden maze is popular with kids and adults alike. It is not that large, but has some tricky twists and turns, making it fun.

Normally it takes 15 minutes to find the way out. total time need to cover both the house and maze is about 60 minutes. Parking is not an issue as there is a fair size car park that has an upside down VW Beetle car, plus there is also a small coffee shop selling cakes, savory items as well as hot and cold drinks.

Baan Teelanka ( The Upside Down House) & Maze Phuket is located on the very outer edge of Phuket Town, on the By Pass Road (highway 402) between the Tesco Lotus Extra Phuket Mall, where the underpass is and the main traffic light Thepkrasattri Road or Airport Road crossroads. If driving from the Airport, turn right in to the By Pass Road we are sited between the the Premium Shopping Outlet and Siam Niramit. After about a 2 km drive after passing a Toyota Showroom, and the Premium Shopping Outlet and just after passing Wat Rassadaram you will see us on the left.

  1. I would say this is quite a fun place to visit. The upside down house is very well designed and has many opportunities to take cool photos that you can wow your friends with. Something different to try from the usual things to do in Phuket.

  2. Newly open, maybe the first in Thailand or not I’m not sure. Easy to find, on Bypass Road between Siam Niramit and the Premium Outlet. Separate tickets one is for the upside down house and the other for garden maze. Acceptable price for adults but I think it was quite high for children between 4-11 years, 100 and 120 THB. Staff told us that the garden hedge labyrinth changes every day. Is it true? Wow amazing @#$%!. Suggested place for those looking for a new thing/place in Phuket and especially those loving photo taking.

    • Thank you Kenny and Nita for visiting and for recommending us. What our team wanted to explain is that the maze has 12 gates and we have 6 different maze logics so yes every day we can change the route. Next ti e you visit we will make sure you will have a different experience. Upsidedown-fully yours. xelA (I came in to simply reply to your review…but I am forced to also rate my own facility so of course putting 5 stars…)
