Koh Phra Thong : Zoos & Animals
A trip to the Phuket Zoo, a privately run operation, provides a glimpse of exotic Asian animals in a natural setting. The Zoo is well known for its crocodile show where trainers interact up close with these creatures. They also have an elephant and monkey show which is a bit more subdued.
The Cobra Show and Snake farm is not for the squeamish but is entertaining and educational. Snake charmers handle the deadly snakes seemingly without any fear.
