Wine Bars
Wine consumption in Thailand is becoming more and more popular and wine bars are quickly becoming the newest fad. Customers are move away from socializing at coffee shops and into the wine bars.
The Thai government imposes high import taxes on wines and therefore an evening on wine imbibing can be expensive. There are some good deals to be found with drinkable wines on offer at many establishments in Phuket.
Several upmarket hotels offer occasional wine tasting events when introducing or promoting new wines on the market. Some restaurants host wine tasting dinners and events or offer free flow wines for a set price on certain evenings.
