Thai Restaurants in Phuket

Thailand is known around the world for its food but what is not so well known is the differences between the styles of cuisine that the country has to offer. With so many employment opportunities in the tourist market it should not come as a surprise that every style of Thai cooking can be found in Phuket.

Many of the roadside small restaurants may not look all that inviting but they are the ones that serve the most authentic food all of which is prepared fresh when ordered so you can be assured of the quality. Many of the western style restaurants change the style of cooking to meet western palates, they also tend to be more comfortable, and nearly all the hotels have Thai dishes on their menu. Some of the best Thai cuisine can be found at the top restaurants but the price they charge reflects this – try Baan Rim Pa in Kalim or Blue Elephant in Phuket Town.

Phuket also has a couple of restaurants that only serve Royal Thai Cuisine. This is a particularly fine form of Thai cuisine that also looks almost artistic in appearance. Hunt around for these places as they are hard to find but worth the effort. The best of them is Channada in the Katathani Hotel in Kata Noi.
