Centara Kata Resort is situated in Kata, on the southwest coast of Phuket. The resort is set a little way back from the beach, behind Club Med. Lovely place. Very nice breakfast buffet, but otherwise skip the overpriced hotel restaurant and go to Eight Fold just across the street from the hotel entrance.

Waves pool grill offers more casual breakfast and also much better service than the main restaurant. Go and have your breakfast there
