Take a firm hand with the staff in order to get proper service. They never smile so there is no need for you to either.

If you book online, expect to be slapped with an extra 400 baht a day for Internet.

When you arrive, the staff will make silly excuses about the room not being ready - even in mid-afternoon. Be insistent and they will find a room, or upgrade you. Expect to waste a lot of time.
