Koh Yao Yai is a relatively undeveloped island refuge away from the more popular tourist areas and is reachable only by 30 minute by speedboat ride from Phuket or Ao Nang. There are few restaurants and even fewer bars so there are no crowds, just simplicity and peace. Stroll or bike around the island meeting the villagers who still practice their traditional ways, swim, snorkel or just relax in a place where time slows down. The Koh Yao Yai Village resort has captured the essence of the island, with deluxe bungalows and a massive freeform infinity pool overlooking on the beach.
