Introduction to City Centre

Chaiyaphum is located almost in the centre of the northeastern region of Thailand, that is separated into 2 parts by a mountain range. The area is a mix of forests, plateaus and mountains. At a distance of 342 km from Bangkok, to get to Chaiyaphum you can take the train from Hua Lamphong Station or the bus from Mochit 2 Terminal. Both leave daily take around 5 hours. In the city centre are only few hotels in simple style that offer a countryside atmosphere and good standard services. The landmark of the town is Chaopho Phraya Lae Monument, which is dedicated to the province’s first governor. Popular natural attractions here include 4 national parks in the area of Amphur Muang and nearby districts. Perhaps the most popular is Pa Hin Ngam National Park that is frequently visited during June – August by people who want to witness the beauty of Krachiao or Siam Tulip fields.
