Introduction to Doi Saket

Doi Saket is found in the centre Chiang Mai province and is the main route to neighbouring Chiang Rai. Lying approximately 20 km northeast of Chiang Mai City, Doi Saket offers plenty of choice in terms of hotes as well as a number of interesting attractions. Within a 10 minute drive from downtown Doi Saket to Ban Pong Kum, you can find natural mineral hot springs. Maetakhrai National Park is a fascinating place for nature lovers who wish to enjoy camping, trekking and soaking in the fresh water of the waterfalls. Another recommended spot is the idyllic Mae Kuang Dam, which is about 10 km north in the area of Luang Nuea, where you can find some lovely restaurants with beautiful panoramic views, and also enjoy fishing at the dam.
