Introduction to Tha Sala
In the past, Tha Sala district was an important commercial port of the region due to its location along the Ping River. Nowadays, this riverside district is a favourite spot for those who come to celebrate the Loy Kratong Festival, which is held annually on the night of the full moon in November. A variety of hotels from luxurious to budget can be found in Tha Sala area, and its only a short drive to the city centre where you can find popular attractions such as the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar.
