Introduction to Tha Sai

Tha Sai is a quiet suburb to the south of the city Chiang Rai, which is the location of some government offices and the local vocational college. As it is off the tourist trail there are not so many hotels in the vicinity. If you are golfer try a round at the famous Santiburi Chiang Rai Country Club which is a championship caliber golf course. Visitors are also welcome to enjoy dining at the club's scenic restaurant or sipping some cold beer at the beer garden. Just a few minutes drive to the south of downtown Tha Sai is the Wana Ostrich and Horse Farm, which offers fun activities such as horse or ostrich riding. After building up an appetite try sampling the various ostrich dishes at onsite restaurant, or just chill out and enjoy with a wide choice of coffee at Wana Fresh Coffee. If you fall in love with this farm you can select to stay overnight either at the campsite or in an Western style bungalow.
