Introduction to Ba Kan Tiang Beach

The distance from Krabi Airport to Ba Kan Tiang Beach is about 90 km and it is approximately 2 hours taxi ride plus you need to spend a some time to wait for car ferry from the mainland to Koh Lanta Noi. From Koh Lanta Noi to Koh Lanta Yai, visitors have to continue on another car ferry between the two islands to this crescent shaped Ba Kan Tiang Beach. Located on the southwestern coastline of Koh Lanta Yai between Klong Nin Beach and Ao Nui Beach, this 800 meter length, tranquil rocky beach is full of boutique style resorts starting from frugal to luxurious ones. Opulent small rounded pebbles will appear when the ebb tide, therefore it is not really suitable for sea swimming. However, if you dream of somewhere to relax by the calm sea on a relaxing beach, Ba Kan Tiang is one of the recommended choices. There are some nice beach bars to chill out at, but there are many more at the nearby Klong Nin Beach which is within a short drive away.
