Introduction to Chaloklum Bay

Sited at the northernmost area of Koh Pha Ngan, Chaloklum Bay is considered as the second main pier of this beautiful island. The distance from Thong Sala pier to this bay is about 15 km and this area still retains the authentic local charm and has less tourism influence when compared to other parts of the island. Nevertheless, there are a wide range of amenities and various types of accommodation for visitors to choose from whether for short or long term stay purpose. The majority of bungalows and guesthouses can be found along the eastern beach area, while the western zone is quieter and shadier as there are a lot of tropical trees. During dry season, many fishing boats will be anchored in the middle of this bay. In general, the water condition here is not suitable for swimming but good enough for beach jogging or walking. The good thing about this bay is its numerous Thai restaurants that serve freshly caught seafood at very reasonable prices. Visitors who prefer to spend most of their time in the hotel or resort, they can find in most accommodation an in house beach bar which offers some cool drinks and beer.
