Introduction to Yao Beach

Driving upwards along the western coastline will lead visitors to the 1.5 km long Yao Beach. This sandy cove is quite flat, making it suitable for beach football, sunbathing or any kinds of beach activities. Snorkeling is a very popular activity during high tide as there are still some beautiful coral reefs. A reasonable number of shops that come with snorkeling equipment for either sale or rent can be easily spotted around the area. To stay around here, there are some resorts that are perched on a hilly location featuring scenic views over the sea. However, people who prefer to stay closer to the beach or right on the beach can choose one of the seaside accommodation. The southern tip of the beach is known as the most tranquil and relaxing, thus serenity lovers may consider a place to stay in this area. Getting around the island is convenient by "Songthaew" buses that run from Thong Sala Pier to the other beaches including Yao Beach and the Full Moon Party beach.
