Introduction to Tonsai Beach

Tonsai Beach which is the main departure and arrival hub to Phi Phi Island welcomes a huge number of vacationers all year round especially during the high season from November to May. The ferry boats from both Rassada Pier in Phuket and Chaofa Pier in Krabi will take around 2.30 hours to get to this island. Those who decide to use boats from Ao Nang and Lanta Island will take less or approximately 2 hours to the pier at Tonsai Bay. This 2 km long beach is ideal for sunbathing or just lying down under shades of the seaside trees. As this area is the center of all island facilities, it is always crowded and there are many boats anchored around, thus the better zone for swimming and snorkeling is at the western tip of the bay. Everything that travelers want is available here for example a myriad of restaurants, bakeries, bars, banks, tour agencies as well as a wide option of guesthouses, bungalows and resorts.
