Introduction to Bangrak Beach

"To the north of the Big Buddha is found Bangrak Beach which is also locally known as part of Big Buddha Beach. This beach is one of less crowded beaches of Koh Samui and is mostly visited by travelers who plan to come here to visit The Big Buddha Temple. This temple is a landmark of the island and was built on small Phan Island which is just 100 meters away from the main island and is linked to each other by a small road over the sea. Visitors can get to the temple by a short drive or easy wander. Bangrak Beach is a 3 km long white sandy beach along which beach lovers can enjoy basking or strolling. Not many facilities like restaurants, bars or shops but this beach is ideal for people who expect tranquility and solitude. Hotels and resorts here vary in class and price, thus visitors have enough choices to choose and stay at the one that suits them the most. The distance to the main jetty at Nathon is around 25 minutes drive, but it is just a 5 minute taxi ride from Koh Samui Airport."
