Introduction to Ao Nang

Ao Nang is one of the best beach destinations in the Andaman Sea. It is a sub-district of Muang Krabi District at the west of Krabi Province. Located approximately 20 km from the city center, the travelers can get Songthaew in front of Vogue Department Store to this vibrant resort town. Right on the beach is the pier where the boats to the other popular attractions depart from. Railay Bay that is the popular destination for the rock climbers is accessible by 15 minutes long tail boat ride, while Poda and Chicken Island are around 25 minutes boat trip. Many tour agencies on the beach road can prepare the day trip for kayaking, snorkeling and sightseeing. In addition, the beach road along the 6 km coastline is dotted by a myriad of spas, Internet cafes, restaurants, money exchange services, convenience stores and many more.
