Introduction to Ao Railay

Secludedly sited away from the mainland, Ao Railay is a part of Hat Noppharat Thara – Mu Koh Phi Phi National Park in Krabi Province. The limestone rocks enclose the bay to keep it isolate and accessible by boat only. Longtail boats from Ao Nang will take only 15 minutes to drop you at West Railay, while the 45 minutes longtail boat trip from Ao Nammao leads you to East Railay. The emerald water is pleasantly tranquil to dip in, and the rocking cliff at Tonsai Beach at the north of Railay attracts rock climbers from all around the world. On the bank of East Railay Beach are the lush mangrove forest and the beachside pathway. This area looks like a small community, which is fully flanked by coffee shops, beer bars and restaurants. A small trek links to the western beach that is more beautiful with long stretch powdery sand. The majority of simplicity style resorts are gathered at this area. [161]
