Introduction to Dan Sai

Placed in on the western side of Loei province, Dan Sai district is adjacent to Pitsanulok and Petchaboon provinces. This is one of the Thai districts which is at the border of The Lao People's Democratic Republic. Dan Sai contains mountain complexes which are one of the factors that makes this area cooler especially during November to January. Most accommodation here are guesthouse style and run by locals, thus the nightly rate is reasonable and not expensive. Those who love Thai culture and wish to see Pee Ta Khon or Ghost Festival, They have to plan to plan visit this district around June - July. Adventurers whose favourite activity is mountain hiking can stay here as a base to get to some foggy sea viewpoints and the best time for this is during December to January. Most visitors to this area will not miss visiting regional attraction of Phra That Si Song Rak which has an ancient Lan Chang architectural style stupa.
